I was playing Stormland via my Quest 2 Air link PC app I had set my Refresh rate to 90 hz and render resolution to 1.2x , dynamic bitrate to Dynamic 100. Please guide me how much higher can i go to pull the max output .Also, please guide me in terms of Half life alyx also. I intend to play that after Stormland. Thanks.. appreciate it in advance
The Pico 4 pixels is way-way smaller, as also shown with its PPI (pixels pr inch) at 1193 Pixels pr each inc vs 483 pixels pr inch on Quest 2. The added RAM with 8GB and +50% more battery in the PICO will help, but still its the same SoC, so the lifting job of handling 9.33 mio pixels are somewhat heavier than Quest 2.
If you wanna play steam VR and depending on if you have a PC with a 1080 graphics card or above, and have a good ethernet connection, get the quest 2 and buy "virtual desktop" on the Oculus store, on the Quest to. It will allow you to connect to your computer and play PCVR games. I play Alyx, Boneworks, and Fallout 4 VR this way.
No. Alex is a steam made game which is a rival to oculus. It would be like PlayStation releasing an Xbox exclusive on their store. Along with that the game would have to be very heavily optimised to run on quest 2 hardware. 21.
Once the installation is complete, unplug the Oculus Quest and fit it to your face as you normally would when playing. Open your library tab on the Oculus bar at the bottom of your view. It's the
Quest 2 is like getting a Switch. It has the advantage of being portable, but very low res and low quality overall. All 3 of your issues don't exist in high end headsets like Valve Index. It's a shame you gave up in VR without actually trying what VR can be. Playing Half-Life Alyx on a Valve Index can look like real life at times.

Oculus with link on quest 2 does this for you giving selectable values of 1.0, 1.2, 1.3 etc all the way to 1.7, with 1.7 being it's native render resolution for the panel, it's really weird numbers when you look at the reported resolutions but that's how it needs to be to scale evenly, it would look worse having 1.35 than say 1.2
Actually the Pico 4 is unbelievably amazing for its price (1/3 of Quest Pro), its cons is that it doesn't have eye- and face-tracking it has worse colors and similar tracking to the Quest 2 (unlike the amazing Quest Pro controllers that can track even behind you).
