In Guild Wars 2, the last elite specialization the Engineer has is the Mechanist. The Mechanist really emphasizes the versatility of the Engineer. It has a Power build, a Condi build, a Healer build, and even a Power Alacrity Support build. All made possible by their new profession mechanic, the Jade Mech.

Power core necro, what a mad man. The signet trait is very good. Necro mainhand dagger is highly underestimated. The selfheal is insane (base heal of 4050, 4850 while bleeding) and being able to put yourself into combat at will is fantastic for Signet of Undead. Bonus points for the roleplay introductions of every profession.
Not the best setup, there are cooldowns that do better jobs and minion actives are useful but you can pretty much use 3 buttons when on GS, can swap to axe and click 2 buttons to increase life force, F1 and just use Reaper 4 and 1. Reaper 1 is insane damage. Staff Daredevil damage is mostly from Staff 2 and autoattack chain.

Sharper play and the right build are simply far more important than ilvl in this game. To illustrate the point, here's a video where I solo an HoT champion in level 60-65 blue/green gear on my weaver. At about 50%, another player enters, presumably geared in 80 exotic (or better) as most players in HoT are.
ZGzSE. 15 votes, 56 comments. true. thief crossed my mind but condi daredevil and condi specter are both really strong builds any easy to build with dd having great sustain because you are in evade so often and specter providing useful group support for free through barrier. power daredevil is in a bad spot yea but it happens to excel in the 2 fights where mag bombs exist. deadeye indeed might be
Posted August 19, 2022. I can speak to this as a new player. I started GW2 on July 11 but really got into it around the 16th or 17th of July. I hit level 80 on August 11 playing solo mostly. I hesitate to advise on a profession but would suggest some type of pet class for the first bit as pets take some heat off you.
If this doesnt belong here, let me know.OK so a little about me, I mainly play classes in Mmos that are mainly dps, I like to go in and fuck shit up then move to the next target quickly. Dont matter if its caster or melee.Classes i played/ enjoyed from other mmos.ArcheAge : Primeval,DarkrunnerBDO
Curse necro can run AP-MoP and mark targets for the ranger. This is probably the most fun active combination within the constraints you've given. Blood necro can run Orders, GDW, and probably resto. ER ele can run GDW. 3. HypatiaRising.
