For fracs Druid is fine as long as people follow mechanics, but its not (best) healer in fracs. Best raw is tempest. But the safest way in fracs is harrier firebrand + renegade. But still they are not that strong in healing. As much as I would say scourge would be after tempest, but scourge only supply’s barriers.
Necromancer, mainly Scourge. Pros: The best survivability due to huge amount of barriers. Easy to play, no skill rotation. You can boost your passive healing by using runes of tormenting. Cons: Slow, no access to boons. 2. Thief (Daredevil or Deadeye, depends on situation). Pros: The best passive heal in game.
Loved ele from gw1, and even though they are very different in 2, still had to play it. Necro was due to what I had read about ele being hard/nerfed/etc and wanting to get some playing on an easier character. And ranger, because my original gw guild was a ranger guild and I always liked having a pet (and I have unlocked them all on her as well).
Condi Engineer and Ranger are both high damage classes but engineer requires a lot more button pressing while ranger is easier but has a bit less utility. Condi (ps) warrior is a great replacement for traditional power warrior. Uses longbow and is still fairly easy to play and has high HP pool. 3. BastiatCF.
Just enjoy buddy, every class work. Here are the list that can heal later, doesn't matter which one is best since it all can change one day of balance patch anyway, pick the one who look cool to you : - Necro => Scourge - Elementalist => Tempest - Ranger => Druid - Engineer => Mechanist/scrapper - Guardian => Firebrand - Thief => Specter
oMBoi. For 1 by 1 situations, I'd recommend Power Mesmer (greatsword / Sw/Sw). GS #2 and GS#4 delete normal mobs and you can always throw in a shatter or damage mantra. Swords get you another ranged illusion and skill to port to the mob for melee. Power deadeye can work, as can Soulbeast with LB.
I would say that the classes in GW2 all play a little bit differently than in WoW, however if you are looking for something similar feel-wise to Death Knight, I would suggest Revenant or maybe Guardian as a more magic oriented heavy armor wearing fighter. For a Warrior vibe, well, there is always a Warrior.
